I can already tell that this summer is going to be a great one. It is a little scary as it is my first one spent away from home, but that is the only downside I can see. First of all, I have a dream internship at Monticello in the events department. I really want to be an event planner/manager after college and I like to think of myself as a little bit of a history buff so I do not think there is a better internship for me out there. I am still looking for a part time so that I have a steady cash flow and am not just spending money this summer. I am not having any luck yet. Womp womp.
There have only been about 2 weeks of summer so far, but it has already been AWESOME. I spent 6 days in the Outer Banks. I watched some great people graduate from UVa. That was a bittersweet weekend to say the least. I am going to be a DISASTER next year when that is my friends and me. I started my internship and have already helped with a wedding. I turned 21 and had the best birthday of my life thanks to the greatest friends I could possibly ask for. And I went to a wedding for an old family friend and danced the night away at the reception, of course.
I cannot wait to see what the rest of this summer holds for me.
P.S. I have established a love for vineyards. Good thing there are SO many of them around central Virginia. I fell in love with the one I went to on my birthday. I want to work/get married there.
